Part 1: The Pain Line
April 27, 2025
Series Description
Although Jesus instructed His followers to spread His message and make disciples of all nations, many of us find this challenging. If we truly believe Jesus is Who He claimed to be – God, Lord, and Savior – then why can it be so hard for us to engage with those around us about this God Who loves and cares for them? Perhaps it’s due to what seems like a growing cultural hostility towards Jesus and His Gospel. Maybe it is because we fear risking our comforts, time, reputations, and relationships. Or maybe we simply don’t know what to say or how to engage with others about the things of God.
On the other hand, engaging with those who are far from God can be exciting. People are searching for answers and meaning for their lives. We know that when people find God, not only are their lives transformed here on Earth but the entire trajectory of their eternity changes as well. So, how do we overcome our discomfort and lovingly engage with others about God? How can we allow God to use our lives to connect with people, meet them where they are at, and offer them an opportunity to respond to the God Who loves them?
